Project Overview
BDR Stainless were engaged for the supply and manufacture of multiple galvanised steel and Stainless steel pipe rack systems for a new food and beverage manufacturing plant
This scope covers the detailed drafting, fabrication, supply, delivery, and installation of large pipe gantries to support multiple process piping integral to running of the plant.
Challenges:
The project was delivered under extremely tight time constraints, making the reduction of on-site time a critical factor. Through detailed planning and the utilisation of highly experienced trade personnel, BDR successfully completed its scope ahead of schedule, enabling the early commencement of piping installation.
The works were carried out within a confined building space, where limited roof clearance posed significant challenges. The use of advanced lifting techniques and specialised equipment allowed for the safe and efficient installation without any impact to existing structures.
All installation activities were performed at heights exceeding 5 metres. BDR personnel leveraged their qualifications in “Safe Working at Heights” and EWP (Elevated Work Platform) operation to execute the works safely and efficiently. The presence of designated spotters ensured continuous monitoring, enabling strict adherence to safety protocols and demonstrating effective coordination and teamwork throughout the project
